Philosophy
My journey in RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) and community building has been integral in shaping my philosophy and guidelines for working with diverse groups. These classes and experiences are not just complementary but foundational to my approach. They have provided a robust framework that guides my interactions and strategies when working with children, families, businesses, various populations, and both sober and not sober individuals. The principles of respect, understanding, and support inherent in RIE seamlessly blend with the core values of community building, enabling me to foster connections, compassion, and effective collaboration in all my endeavors.
When you see or hear of Mel’s Friends, there is a sense of peace, belonging, and knowing the people around you are safe and welcoming. There is a place for all us — in all seasons of our lives. I am dedicated to providing simpler ways for us to be together, learn, and build community in both our wins and struggles. Whether it’s a conversation, support group, a place for you to get creative, RIE inspired parent groups, finding a likeminded business, or simply a way to find your tribe — I am glad you are here. Through many seasons in life, one thing stands out the most: we need each other.
