Mel Taul holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Criminology, and American Humanics from Western Kentucky University, complemented by childhood development coursework at the University of Northern Iowa. Her career spans roles as a crisis intervention counselor, teacher, community educator, and advocate, focusing on child development and family systems. With internships at Community Education and the Department of Defense plus her mentorship with RIE Foundations, Mel has specialized in creating inclusive environments for children and military families.
Mel is trained in RIE Foundations, Community Architecture, crisis intervention, child abuse prevention, and nature-based education. Her passion lies in addressing child wellbeing, maltreatment of all people, and promoting inclusive spaces in communities, homes, businesses, and events to foster understanding and positive impact.
Based in Nashville for over a decade, Mel is raising two children and cherishes her Kentucky roots, having grown up in a farming community with a large family. Her journey now focuses on using mindfulness to navigate and improve societal systems.
